Pan-Cancer Analysis of UBX Domain-Containing Protein 4 (UBXN4) in Human Cancers

Background: UBX domain-containing protein 4 (UBXN4) was discovered for the first time because its domain can interact with p97/VCP to participate in endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD). Although there are many reports that family is involved occurrence and development of tumors, a pan-cancer analysis UBXN4 not yet available. Material Methods: We explored potential carcinogenic effects 33 tumors based on datasets TCGA (The Cancer Genome Atlas) GEO (Gene Expression Omnibus). Results: highly expressed cancers distinct associations exist between expression tumor prognosis. also observed promoter methylation level significantly reduced most primary compared normal tissues, whereas opposite kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC). correlates cancer-related fibroblast infiltration head neck squamous (HNSC), skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD). Glycoprotein calnexin/calreticulin cycle function functional mechanisms UBXN4. Conclusions: As study perform UBXN4, results this will improve understanding role different tumors.
